Spend the warm months knitting a first sweater for yourself! If you've always wanted to knit a sweater and don't know where to start, you're in the right place. This is a sweater knitting class that will teach you the basics of knitting a worsted weight top-down, raglan sleeve pullover sweater. You will learn how to read a sweater pattern, how to select the proper size for your desired fit, how to separate stitches for different parts of the sweater, and how to pick up stitches for sleeves. You will work ribbing, increases, and decreases in the round using garter and stockinette stitches to knit a cropped or regular length pullover sweater with the Tin Can Knits "Flax" sweater pattern.

NOTE: In order for students to have enough time to work outside of class, sessions will be held every other week. Please be sure to check all four dates against your schedule.

**PREREQUISITES:** You must already be able to confidently cast on, knit, purl, join and work in the round, and bind off. Experience with shaping (increasing/decreasing) is helpful, but not required. This class is intended for individuals aged 18 or older.
